Swaminarayan Akshardham temple is a huge and elaborate structure carved of red sandstone. This temple has not only a large statue of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, who is the founder of the Swaminarayan faith; there are also idols of other gods and goddesses. No electronics, leather or tobacco is allowed inside this temple.
